Work with product teams in establishing the required documents and standardized procedures needed to manufacture a consistent, high quality, and low cost product. Provide technical support when determining capital equipment needs for the area. Provide current technical information and data on manufacturing techniques that will enhance the product line efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate process documents and work instructions.
• Demonstrate and teach problem solving skills including Autocam Production System (APS).
• Using corporate software systems (MFGPro), create and update the required cost standards.
• Accurately quote new parts and update current customer part quotes.
• Design manufacturing processes and tools for current parts and new project start-up.
• Facilitate continuous improvement meetings and create/update continuous improvement plans for an assigned area.
• Procure and expedite tools, parts, and other materials required to make project start-up successful using the Project Launch Guides.
• Lead APQP team using the Project Launch Guide.
• Create clear and concise technical sketches.
• Interpret and understand technical drawing standards and G,D & T.
• Train all operators in machine operations, document interpretation, SPC, and process improvement activities.
• Understand and follow the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).

Ability to read production sheets, graphs and understand their practical application.
Ability to utilize and apply data collection and analysis techniques.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and documents, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to read and interpret production and sales reports/graphs and utilize them in practical applications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• BS degree in an Engineering discipline or Technical Training w/ (5) years experience.
